East Cavan Gaels:

Hurling: Much like Cusack and Davin in 1883, East Cavan Gaels continue the local hurling revival with the addition of adult hurling to our ranks for the very first time.
However, Cusack and Davin didn’t have a nine-year body of work completed before launching their team. We do! We have teams from small U7 and U9 and our older U11,13,15 and U17 sides all wishing to play adult hurling and represent East Cavan Gaels in the years ahead. Our very first group of boys, lads who began in 2009 as 9 and 10 year olds have now become fully grown men and want to play for our club at adult hurling, but, we don’t have enough of them – yet!!
We need YOUR help and support to get them there. Any adults wishing to play or return to hurling are very welcome to don the ECG jersey and play with us. We have entered into a 9 a side adult competition but if we have enough interest we may even enter 2 sides! That is up to YOU!
Join with us and help us put the final piece to the puzzle almost 10 years in the making.
ADULT HURLING TRAINING EVERY THURSDAY IN KILLANN PITCH, OPPOSITE THE CHURCH, JUST PAST THE DROP INN PUB AT 7PM. The pitch is just off the Bailieborough/Shercock road.
All ages and abilities welcome to try hurling with us. We will supply equipment if needed.
Join the local hurling revolution!
