Bailieborough Agricultural Show:

Congratulations to the Bailieborough Agricultural Show Committee on another fantastic community event and on your 40th Anniversary. It was a great day and the sun stayed shining. Well done to everyone involved. These events take lots of hard work so a big ‘Thank You’ to all the committee, participants, sponsors, etc…

 

Bailiebororough parish church annual bbq:

The Bailieborough Parish Church Annual BBQ takes place on Saturday next, 11TH July from 5pm onwards, in the Rectory Grounds. Everybody very welcome.

 

 Social Dancing:

Our monthly ‘Dancing for Pleasure’ takes place in the Community Centre on this Saturday, 11th July. Music is by Patsy Heart and Country Storm. We will have the usual refreshments to keep our energy up. Expect another good night.

 

 

Bailieborough Red Cross:

Cardiac First Responder Community Course;
this course will be held in the Bailieborough Library on Saturday July 18th. Learn the skills that could help you save the life of someone in your community -maybe a friend or even a family member.

Wednesday, July 8th – Dartery Forest, Cootehill.

(E) Walk 45 – 60 min. (M) Walk 1 hour 30 min (approx.)

Depart Bailieborough Library at 6.45pm.

Walks commence at the car park on the right before Abbott’s Factory, Rockcorry Rd., Cootehill at 7.15pm.

July 15th – Skeagh/Seeorum, Bailieborough.  (A) Walk – 2 + hours (approx.)

Depart Bailieborough Library at 7pm. Walk commences at the residence of Jennifer and Nigel Williamson, Duneena at 7.15pm. Located on the Bailieborough/Cootehill Rd. (R191) 5Km from Bailieborough and 5Km from Canningstown. All welcome.

 

Legion of Mary:

The local ‘Legion of Mary’ meets each Monday night at 8.00pm in the Community Centre. New members are always welcome and encouraged to attend.

 

Bailieborough Community Alert:

Citizens Information every Tuesday from 1.30pm-2.30pm.

‘Abair Leat’ Irish Conversational Group, Tuesdays from 1pm-2pm. Learning Irish for fun. Tea and coffee served. All welcome, free admission.

Parent, baby and toddler group every Wednesday from 11am-12.30pm. Lots of suitable toys, refreshments, all welcome, free admission.

Craft Group every Friday 10.30am-12.30pm. Sharing of crafts and ideas. Tea and coffee, all welcome.  Free admission.

Bailieborough ‘Lend A Hand’—Terrific Summer Offer!!:

Killann Pilgrimage to Croagh Patrick:

The Killann Pilgrimage to Croagh Patrick will take place on Sunday next, July 12thand will be led by Fr. Michael Router. A limited number of places are still available—last date for booking is today, Wednesday, July 8th. Exercising Is FUN! Every Monday and Wednesday evenings at 8pm join us at Bailieborough Community Centre! All welcome—no matter what your fitness levels are!. Ok folks, join us to run, jog or walk and most importantly tea, biscuits, fruit and chat afterwards.

 

East Cavan Gaels GAA Club Hurling News 6th July 2015:


Under 6/8/10;
We hosted Carrick in Bailieborough on Wednesday last in what was a great evening for hurling.

Under 12/14; Attention now moves to the Cavan Under 14 Championship with the first round this Wednesday 8th July as we play Annalee Gaels.

Under 16; Mondays game v Monaghan Harps has been postponed to a later date. Training on Friday.

Training times and venues; If blitz on then no training.

Under 6/8/10;  Kingscourt group; 

Wednesdays 6-7.30 at Kingscourt Stars GAA grounds.

Bailieborough group; Friday 6-7.30 at Bailieborough Shamrocks GAA grounds, St. Anne’s Park.

Both sessions are open to anyone from the region to attend.

Adventure Camps:

Tanagh Outdoor Adventure Camps are open and almost full.
