Cumann Seanchais Bhreifne Annual launch – 22/05/14
The annual journal of
was launched Thusday evening in the Johnston Central Library Cavan. There are many articles of historic interest in this years journal and one of particular interest to Bailieborough readers. Localladies Margaret Mortimer and Lil McCormack have compiled a 16 page article which includes details of the old Church of Ireland graveyard, graveyard map and headstone inscriptions. In 2012 both ladies carried out the painstaking work of recording all the headstone inscriptions and mapping out the graveyard.
