Meeting Point: Bailieborough Castle Demesne Carpark

Route: The route we are taking is the Lake Loop it is the shorter of the two looped walks in the forest, it is approximately 3.5km in length and takes about an hour to walk, we will be adding in a gentle standing yoga sequence for the ultimate in relaxation and connection in nature.

Time: So in total the estimated time is 1 hour and 15 minutes to complete.

We will enjoy views of the lake for the entire duration of the walk. There are many interesting sites along the way including a memorial to those who died at Rebel Hill in 1798, graves of the Marist brothers who occupied Bailieborough Castle and the remains of Bailieborough Castle, built in the early 19th century and demolished in the 1940’s.C
