Bake Sale, Fun Run/Walk and Raffle in memory of Pat Clark. Proceeds going to the Cavan/Monaghan Palliative Care.  The family of the late Pat Clarke are holding a fundraiser in aid of Cavan/Monaghan Pallative Care on Sunday next, November 28th from 10.30am to 1.00pm. 5K Fun Run/Walk, registration from 11.15am with the event commencing at 12noon at St. Annes Community Centre, Chapel Road, Bailieborough. ‘Bake Sale’ will commence at 10.30am at the same venue and there will also be a Raffle, with prizes galore! All welcome. Please help us to help these amazing people.

Charity Bedpush: Thank you, Thank You, Thank you, to every single person who donated to our Bedpush Fundraiser for two amazing charities, Sosad Cavan and

Grubs Up Homeless Services.

We raised an amazing €6250 which we divided between both charities.

Christine from Sosad collected their cheque last week and was so grateful for all the support.

Thank you to Paul Rooney store manager at Tesco, Bailieborough who facilitated a collection at the store and thank you to Greenline plumbing supplies and their staff for their generosity.

Regretted Death: Deepest Sympathy is extended to sons Jamie and Jack, their mother Kate, mother Rita, sisters Deirdre (Noel), Imelda, Mairead (Declan), Roisin (Bernard), nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends on the death of  Jimmy Carolan, Lisnalea, Bailieborough, Co. Cavan, who passed away suddenly, but peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital, on Tuesday, November 9th 2021,  surrounded by his loving family. Jimmy was predeceased by his father James.

Jimmy’s Funeral Mass took place in St. Annes Chapel on Thursday, November 11th and afterwards, Jimmy’s remains were laid to rest in St. Annes Cemetery.

Bailieborough Creative Hub: Following on from their great run in the Cavan County Museum “Under Cavan Skies” is now open in Bailieborough Library until Friday, December 3rd.

Christmas Art and Craft Fair: Bailieborough Creative Hub will be hosting a ‘Christmas Art and Craft Fair in the Courthouse, Bailieborough on Saturday, November 27th from 10.00am to 5.00pm. Parish Bulb Planting: Thanks to all our parishioners who helped plant 2,500 spring bulbs in the Church grounds on Saturday last. Looking forward to seeing the grounds come to life again in the Spring. Saturday’s project was organised by our Parish Green Group. We believe that caring for the earth is part of our Christian mission.

Bailieborough Heritage Society: We are collecting old photos of people who lived and worked in the town of Bailieborough, the photos will be on display from Friday, 3rd  to Sunday, 12th  December in the Courthouse.

Charity Album: Klara Carolan, Multi-instrumentalist, Singer-songwriter from Bailieborough,would like to take the time to thank all who supported her fundraising efforts at home and abroad, by purchasing her Charity Album ‘Songs He Loved To Hear’, in memory of a friend. Thanks to your generous donations, Klara raised €800 for two very worthwhile causes, NCBI- working for people with sight loss and ALONE- supporting older people living alone. Each charity will receive €400. Little would be possible without the generous support of her fantastic supporters.

East Cavan Gaels: Juvenile Hurling:  Won’t it be great to get back out socially again, and support your local hurling club at the same time?

Come join us for another fun evening and help raise much needed funding for local hurling development. The East Cavan Gaels will be hosting a ‘Table Quiz’ on Friday,  3rd  December at 9.30pm in Nixys, The Square Bar, Bailieborough. All welcome.

Come and give it a go. Every Saturday 3 and 4pm for U7 and U9 respectively. Equipment supplied while learning.

Bailieborough Shamrocks AGM: The Club AGM will be held on Friday the 3rd of December at 7pm.

Another Local Girl, makes the grade at International Level: Congratulations and well done to local girl, Jill Giles, who played for the Republic of Ireland Under 16 side in their friendly international against Wales in Newport last week. The Irish girls won the game 1—0.

Also congrats to Leanne Kiernan who has been selected for the Senior International Squad for their two World Cup qualifiers against, Slovakia and Georgia. Leanne also scored again on Saturday last, when Liverpool Ladies beat Sunderland 3—1.

Well Done: Congratulations and well done to the Bailieborough Celtic Senior mens squad and the management team, who defeated Torro Utd in the Northern Eastern Football League Division 4 League Title playoff. The Bailieboro lads won the game 4—0 in the M.D.L Grounds on Saturday last.

Cavan formerly of Bulacan, Philippines, who passed away peacefully, at home on Sunday, November 14th, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Naty was predeceased by her loving husband Maximino.

Naty’s Funeral Mass took place in St. Annes Chapel on Thursday, November 18th, 2021, followed by cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.
