East Cavan Gaels GAA: Hurling Club News 6th May 2024

Senior/county squads; A massive week ahead for the county seniors as they prepare for what is ostensibly an All Ireland semi final in their penultimate group game v Longford in the Lory Meagher Cup on Saturday. With Longford also needing a win this could very well be the match of the season so far and we encourage all supporters to get to Kingspan Breffni on Saturday to support the lads.

Club seniors have a big week also as they play Erne Gaels on Thursday on the 3G in the semi final of the Spring League. With our application to play in the Monaghan Senior league successful it promises to be another good season ahead.

The county U20s went down to defeat to Monaghan in the All Ireland semi final on Saturday last in a game that could have just as easily gone their way but it was not to be. Well done to our seven East Cavan Gaels men on the panel.

County U17s have a few weeks off before their next outing.

U8/10/12/14/16/18;

The U16s played well in going down to a strong St. Aidens side in the Tain league on Monday last.

The U14s had a good day in Newry on Sunday as they played St. Aidens and Killeavy in a Tain Og blitz. U14 league starts next week.

Under 12/14/16 club training Wednesday 7-8pm on the astro at Bailieboro Celtic AFC.

Under 12 blitz in Kingspan Breffni on Sunday next.
