Bailieborough News. May 31st 2021 . Matthew J. Cullen.

Bailieborough Swimming Pool and Leisure Centre: We are delighted to advise that we are planning to reopen the Leisure Centre on Tuesday, 8th  June. The safety of our staff and patrons is our paramount concern so there will be some changes to the running and layout within the centre as we ensure that the HSE guidelines for COVID 19 are fully adhered to. We will be putting in place a booking application through our website and we will be asking members to book online for gym and swim slots. The team at the Leisure Centre will be in contact over social media over the coming weeks to provide further information on reopening the centre.

Please keep an eye on our website and social media platforms for latest news on whats happening at the centre. (http://bailieboroughleisurecentre.com/).

St. Annes: It is good to be back. We especially encourage our young families to get back into the habit of coming to Mass. It will do us a power of good to be together and to worship God together as a community of Faith. Welcome back!!

Funerals: Fifty mourners permitted at a Funeral. Related events, either before or after, should not take place.

Weddings: Fifty guests permitted at a wedding. For celebrations/receptions, a maximum of six people for indoor gatherings and fifteen people for outdoor gatherings. The number allowed attend a wedding reception indoors, rises to 25 from June 7th. (This means that while 50 guests may attend a Wedding Mass, a much smaller number may only attend the reception).

For the first month that Masses return, parishioners ought to consider attending one of the daily Masses, rather than a weekend  Mass—to help ease the pressure.

The Bishop has granted permission for the resumption of Baptisms, with a limited attendance confined to parents and godparents.

Mass can be heard on the radio at 107.8FM in the Bailieborough area and 92FM in Shercock.

All Masses and Parish Funerals can be viewed on the Parish webcam or can be heard by tuning in the radio to 107.8 F.M.

The Parish Office will be open on Mondays and Fridays from 10am to 4.00pm. Please feel free to contact Fr. Ultan for assistance on 087 341 8037 or 042 96 65117.

Bailieborough Shamrocks G.F.C. : It has been brought to the GAA Clubs attention that even though we have the Cheese Factory Car Park open for parking at Training Times, people are still parking up on the footpaths and blocking them by abandoning cars on same. This is not acceptable and all COACHES AND PARENTS are asked to follow the Club Instructions and park in the Cheese Factory Car Park. Lakeland Dairies have been very helpful allowing us use their grounds for parking as we continue works on our own Car Park. Wheelchair users and people out walking children in prams have been unable to use the public footpaths on both sides of the pitch gates as it has been impossible to pass cars that are on these footpaths.

Coaches Needed—Bailieboro Celtic : Have you ever thought about Coaching or wanted to help help out. Or stood on the sideline watching on and thought I could do better. Well now is your chance we need volunteers. The children need coaches, so that all teams have a chance to play and enjoy the game. All it will take to start is your time, the rest will come together and better still if you can get someone to join you to share the load. If interested or any questions call the club number 086 0485048
