Christmas Walk

A Christmas Walk in aid of local Cancer Charities will take place on Wednesday, December 28th at 11am, leaving from the B.D.A. Centre. This walk will be in memory of P.J. Byrne who passed away earlier this year. All welcome and donations voluntary. For further information, please contact 089 221 2956.

 

St. Vincent DePaul Shop Conference

St. Anthony’s Shop Conference would like to thank all those who contributed to the success of the shop in 2016. We appreciate all the customers who visit our shop regularly, also the many donors who provide quality clothing, footwear, handbags, bed linen, furniture and household items on an on-going basis. It is only with your continued generosity that we will be able to provide the funds so urgently needed in our community. The shop will reopen for business on Wednesday Jan. 4th 2017.

Bailieborough Community Choir

Great concert in Trinity Hall by Bailieborough Community Choir on Sunday week last. Thank you to all that came and supported us and thank you so much to all the sixth class children who read so confidently. They are a credit to their families and their schools.

Are you interested in joining a Cross Community Choir? Bailieborough Community Choir is looking for new members. We meet each Monday evening in Trinity Hall on the Virginia Road. Deepest Sympathy

Deepest Sympathy is extended to wife Noreen, children, John, Siobhan and Patricia, son and daughter-in-law Barry and Ciara and grand-children Max and Tom, brothers Sean and Eamon, sister Mary, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, extended family and wide circle of friends on the death of Oliver Maguire, Monaghanoose, Bailieboro, Co. Cavan and formerly of Drung, who passed away after a long illness borne with great courage and dignity on Wednesday, 7th December surrounded by his loving family and the wonderful staff of St. Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown. Oliver’s Funeral Mass took place in St Anne’s Church, Bailieborough on Saturday, December 10th followed by burial afterwards in St Anne’s Cemetery.

Deepest Sympathy is extended to children Aaron, Lauren, Kynan and Dylan, mother Joan, brothers, sisters and extended family on the death of Carol McCarthy Doyle, Drumoosclin Lane, Bailieborough, Co Cavan and formerly Dunree Park, Swords, Co Dublin on Saturday, December 3rd surrounded by her loving family at Cavan General Hospital.

Carol’s Requiem Mass took place in St Anne’s Church, Bailieborough on Tuesday, December 6th with burial afterwards in St Anne’s Cemetery, Bailieborough.

The Library will re-open on Tuesday, January 3rd, 2017 following the Christmas break.

Bailieborough Library Parent, Baby and Toddler Group has proven to be a vital life line for all stay-at-home parents who may be new to the area and wish to get out of the house and make new friends. There is a huge range of toys for children to play with, while parents can enjoy a cup of tea and chat.

The group meets at the Library Arts space every Wednesday at 10.30am-12pm. Why not join their Facebook Group and keep up to date with news and events.
