First Communion and Confirmation: First Communion and Confirmation is going ahead as planned. Confirmation will take place in St. Anne’s Church, Bailieborough on Saturday, 4th September at 11am for St. Felim’s The Vale N.S. And at 2.30pm for St. Anne’s N.S. Confirmation will take place in St. Patrick’s Church, Shercock on Friday, September 3rd at 6.00pm. Only the candidate for Confirmation, their parents and sponsor may attend the ceremony. The ceremonies will be broadcast on the webcam in Bailieborough and on the radio in Shercock.

First Communion will take place on Saturday, September 11th in St. Anne’s Church for St. Anne’s N.S. First Communion will take place on Sunday, September 12th at 2.00pm, in St. Patrick’s Church, Shercock for St. Patrick’s N.S. St. Felim’s, The Vale First Communion will be on Saturday, September 18th at 11.00am in St. Anne’s Church. Only the child concerned and parents may attend these ceremonies, which will also be broadcast on the webcam and radio.

Deepest Sympathy: Deepest Sympathy is extended to wife Brenda, daughters Carrie and Samantha, sons Paul and Brendan. brother Tom, sister Kathleen, son-in-law Jodi, daughter-in-law Magda, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends of Patrick (Patsy) Ryan, Urcher, Bailieborough, Co. Cavan and formerly Seaview Park, Portrane, Co. Dublin, who passed away peacefully at Cavan General Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Sunday 15th  August 2021. Patsy’s Funeral Mass took place in St. Anne’s Church on Wednesday, August 18th and afterwards his remains were laid to rest in St. Anne’s Cemetery.

Ushers: As there will be a need for ushers in St. Annes for some time yet, more volunteers are needed to help with this important job. This is an opportuinity to be of service to the Parish Community. Please contact Fr. Ultan for further details.

Men’s Get-Together and Fitness Programme: Men over 30 are invited to take part in a Fitness Programme and have a social Get-together afterwards in Bailieborough. Bailieborough Group of Parishes: Sunday services are at 9:30am in Mullagh and Shercock, 10:45 am in Bailieborough, 12noon in Knockbride. Audio from the sermon will be available later on Sundays on our YouTube channel.  Face masks, hand sanitizing, and social distancing will still be required on Sunday mornings.

Deepest Sympathy is extended to wife Breda, son James, daughters Christine, Elaine, Bernie, Aine and Siobhan, brother Patrick, daughter-in-law Lisa, sons in law Damien, Shane, Hughie and Barry, grandchildren, nephew James, niece Mary, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and extended family and friends on the death of Seamus Roe, Togher, Bailieborough, Co. Cavan who passed away on Friday, 13th  of August 2021, suddenly at home. Seamus was predeceased by his parents James and May and sister Ann.

Seamus’s Funeral Mass took place in St. Ultan’s Church, Killinkere on Wednesday, August 18th and afterwards, his remains were laid to rest in St. Ultan’s Cemetery.

Eucharistic Adoration in St. Annes: Eucharistic Adoration was suspended during the Pandemic. As restrictions lift, it is hoped to graduallt restore this devotion in St. Annes. Eucharistic Adoration will initally be held each Tuesday from 10.00am to 11.00am. As the weeks go by, the times and day will be reviewed based on feedback from participants.

Cavan, who passed away on Tuesday, 17th August 2021 at his residence.

Henry’s Funeral Service took place in Bailieborough Parish Church on Friday, August 20th and afterwards, his remains were laid to rest in the adjoining graveyard.
