An exhibition depicting aspects of the American Civil War will be on display at Bailieborough Library until Thursday October 29^th and is open for all to view during Library opening hours. The war was such an all-encompassing event that the exhibition can only touch on aspects of the conflict. Topics covered include: the country before the war, growth of population, acquisition of territory, economic growth, causes of war, overview of battles, Matthew Brady (war photographer), Irish involvement including Cavan men, and the aftermath. All welcome.
