Regretted Death: The death has occurred of Michael
Smith, Tudor Lodge, Curkish, Bailieborough.
Michael Smith, Tudor Lodge, Curkish,
Bailieborough, Co. Cavan passed away on
Thursday, 5th
September 2024 peacefully, after a short illness, surrounded by his
loving family at Cavan General Hospital. Deeply regretted by his loving wife
Kathleen, his loving family, son Adrian (Grace), daughters Denise (Paul),
Regina (Mark) and Michelle (Cathal), sister Marian, brothers Johnny, Terry and
Andy, grandchildren Dean, Cathy, Leah, Miah, Annie, Beth and Finn, his three
foster children, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces and extended
family and friends.
May His Gentle Soul Rest In Peace
Michael’s Funeral Mass took place in St.
Anne’s Church, Bailieborough on Sunday, September 8th and
afterwards, Michael’s remains were laid to rest in St. Anne’s Cemetery,
Bailieborough.
Bailieborough Bowls: Indoor bowls will recommence in Bailieborough
Community Centre tonight, Wednesday, 11th September at 8pm. Tuition
is available free of charge and membership is open to all members of the
community.
Bailieborough Shamrocks G.F.C: There are NO Dogs allowed in
St.Anne’s Park except for assistance and guide dogs.
Our walking track is cover in dog

after someone else and our players shouldn’t have to pick up footballs that

Bailieborough Rhythmic Dance Twirlers:
Rhythmic Dance Twirlers are currently
looking for New members to join us.
Classes are held every Tuesday in the
Bailieborough Courthouse from 5-7pm
and also every Friday, from 5-7pm in
the Kingscourt Community Centre.
Boys and girls from age 4 are welcome.

Recorder, Flute, Trumpet, Saxaphone, Clarinet and Guitar—subject to

Bailieborough Library: Thanks so much to everyone who came
to Bailieborough Library for the unveiling on Thursday last of Bobby’s
Coote’s portrait sculpture. We had a great day with wonderful music from
Padraig, Jimmy and Bobby himself! Family, friends, neighbours and more came to
wish Bobby well. Thanks for all the lovely messages written to myself and
Bobby. The sculpture will be on display in the Library for the next three
weeks.
The craft group takes
place every Friday at 11am in the Library.
Line Dancing: Line Dancing has resumed on
Tuesday’s, at 8.15pm in the Couthouse, Lr. Main St. New members are always
welcome.
Bailieboro Celtic A.F.C.: Well done and best of luck to former
Bailieboro Celtic girls player Lucie Gibson on her move to Shelbourne U15 Girls.
