‘Operation Transformation’ 2020:

Deepest Sympathy: Deepest Sympathy is extended to sons Sean, Seamus, Peadar and Brendan, brothers Eugene and Vincent, sisters Eileen, Peggy and Mary, daughters-in-law Mary, Colette, Geraldine and Brendan’s partner Fabiola, grandchildren Adrian, Ronan, Aisling, Anthony, James, Shane, Peter Stephen and Gavin, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces and a wide circle of friends on the death of .Peter Smith, late of Drumbannon, Bailieborough, who passed away peacefully in Cavan General Hospital on Sunday, February 2nd. Peter was predeceased by his wife Bridie and his infant daughter Rosemary.
Peter’s Funeral Mass took place in St. Anne’s Church on Thursday, February 6th with burial afterwards in St. Anne’s Cemetery.
Bailieborough Community Alert: The next meeting of Bailieborough Community Alert will be held in the Bailie Hotel on Monday, February 24th at 8.00pm, to discuss important issues. For further information, please contact any committee member. All welcome. Bailieborough Community Alert is alive and well with over 480 members.
Parent and Toddler Group: Bailie Babes Parent and Toddler Group at Bailieborough Library starting Wednesday, February 19th from 10.30am-12.30pm, and continuing every Wednesday. A playgroup for all parents and carers of babies from birth to the toddler years. All welcome – just drop in on the day. FREE to join

Bridge takes place in the Hotel Bailie on every Tuesday evening and new members are always most welcome.
Irish Blood Transfusion Service: The mobile unit of the Irish Blood Transfusion Service will be in attendence at Bailieborough Community School on Wednesday next, February 19th from 5.00pm to 8.00pm. All current blood doners are requested to attend and new donors are especially welcome.
Regretted Death: Deepest Sympathy is extended to wife Lilly, sons and daughters Kathleen, Peter, Jim, Eileen, Patricia, Mattie, Una, Morris, Caroline and Sabrina, brothers Jimmy and Peter, sister Margaret, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and extended family and friends on the death of Larry Mc Cabe, Drumacarrow, Bailieborough, who passed away peacefully at Fairlawns Nursing Home, Bailieborough on Saturday, February 1st. Larry was predeceased by his son Leonard.
Larry’s Funeral Mass took place in St. Anne’s Church on Monday, February 3rd with burial afterwards in St. Anne’s Cemetery. .

Run, Jog, Walk or Crawl!! Run, walk, crawl or jog is back on Monday and Wedensday nights at 8pm from the Community Centre, Bailieboro. All weathers, all abilities catered for. Don’t be afraid. Tea, coffee, water and fruit afterwards. Pass the word and give it a try!!
Bailieborough Parenting Support Programme 2020: The Bailieborough Parenting Support Programme will take place from Thursday, February 13th to Thursday, March 19th (once a week) in Bailieborough Courthouse, Main Street, Bailieborough. Bailieborough Social Day Group: The Group will resume today, Wednesday, February 12th following the Christmas break in the Community Centre, Chapel Road from 2.30pm to 4.30pm for more activities, etc… New members are always most welcome to join the group. All ‘Christmas Day Swim’ cards to be returned on this day, if not already done so.
Women’s World Day of Prayer: Our Parish is excited to be hosting the Women’s World Day of Prayer in St. Anne’s on Friday, March 6th at 8.00pm. This event will be an Ecumenical gathering. A meeting to plan the event will be held in the Parish Centre on Thursday, February 13th at 7.30pm. Assistance is needed to organise the Liturgy and the refreshments afterwards in the Parish Centre.

Bailieborough School of Music: Bailieborough School of Music Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday, 12th February at 8pm in the Bailie Hotel. All parents and guardians of all students are invited to attend. Your input into all decisions regarding the future of the school is much appreciated. Refreshments will be provided on the night.

Bailieborough Hen’s Shed: If you would like to come along and enjoy a chat and some good company or just need to take some time for yourself, please join us on Thursday mornings from 10am to 12 noon, in Bailieborough Library. This group is open to all ladies aged 18 and over from Bailieborough and the surrounding areas. Hope to see you there!!
“Ladies’ Night” at the Bailie Hotel, 29th February at 7pm. A fun night out for ladies of all ages including a fashion show, demonstrations on skincare, make-up, colour analysis and numerous stalls. Bailieborough Library: This February the Bailieborough Library Reading Group will be reading and discussing ‘Oh My God What a Complete Aisling’ by Emer McLysaght and Sarah Breen.
All are welcome and copies of the book are available at the desk.
Bailieborough Craft Group meet every Friday in the Library. Drop in
from 10am until 1pm. Anyone interested in hand crafts, or is willing to learn,
is invited to this sociable gathering. Refreshments are served in a warm,
welcoming environment.
Bailieborough Hen’s Shed meets at the Library every Thursday at 10am. All ladies are
welcome to this get together, just to meet, make friends and share thoughts!
