Deepest Sympathy: Deepest Sympathy is extended to daughter Martina O’Connell, sons Padraig, Jim and Colm and brother Louis Lynch. on the death of Mona McBreen (neé Lynch) Drumeague, Bailieborough, who passed away peacefully at Virginia Community Health Centre on Saturday, February 8th. Sadly missed by her daughters-in-law, son-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchild, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Mona was predeceased by her husband Packie.
Mona’s Funeral Mass took place in St Brigid’s Church, Knockbride East, on Tuesday , February 11th with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
Bailieborough Community Alert: The next meeting of Bailieborough Community Alert will be held in the Bailie Hotel on Monday, February 24th at 8.00pm, to discuss important issues. For further information, please contact any committee member. All welcome. Bailieborough Community Alert is alive and well with over 480 members.
“Ladies’ Night” at the Bailie Hotel, 29th February at 7pm. A fun night out for ladies of all ages including a fashion show, demonstrations on skincare, make-up, colour analysis and numerous stalls. Raffle on the night with luxury prizes. Complimentary glass of prosecco, finger-food, prize for “best dressed lady” and lots, lots more!!. Featuring “Off the Rack”, “Niall Mc Caul drapery” and more. Free entry to disco afterwards.
All proceeds in aid of developing an Astro-turf pitch for Tunnyduff national school, a much-needed sporting facility. Tickets: €30, available at the Bailie hotel reception desk.
Parent and Toddler Group: Bailie Babes Parent and Toddler Group at Bailieborough Library continues every Wednesday, from 10.30am-12.30pm. A playgroup for all parents and carers of babies from birth to the toddler years. All welcome – just drop in on the day. FREE to join.

Bridge takes place in the Hotel Bailie on every Tuesday evening and new members are always most welcome.
Irish Blood Transfusion Service: The mobile unit of the Irish Blood Transfusion Service will be in attendence at Bailieborough Community School on this Wednesday evening, February 19th from 5.00pm to 8.00pm. All current blood doners are requested to attend and new donors are especially welcome.
Bailieborough Community School, Parents Association: Our next meeting is on Tuesday, March 3rd at 7.00pm in Room D9 in the Community School. We are asking for parents and past pupils to help in our Sports Complex upgrade and refurbishment of the Blue House. Regretted Death: Deepest Sympathy is extended to sisters Monica and Beatrice, cousins Anna May, Bridget and Rita, brother-in-law, nieces and nephews, relatives and friends on the death of Eugene Tully, Derryham, Bailieborough, who passed away at his residence on Wednesday, February 5th. Eugene was predeceased by his parents Charlie and May, brothers Joe, Charles and Vincent and sister Rose. Eugene’s Funeral Mass took place in St. Mary’s Church, Clonaphilip, on Monday, February 10th with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Wedensday nights at 8pm from the Community Centre, Bailieboro. All weathers, all abilities catered for.

Women’s World Day of Prayer: Our Parish is excited to be hosting the Women’s World Day of Prayer in St. Anne’s on Friday, March 6th at 8.00pm. This event will be an Ecumenical gathering and all are most welcome to attend (both men and women).

Bailieborough Library: This February the Bailieborough Library Reading Group will be reading and discussing ‘Oh My God What a Complete Aisling’ by Emer McLysaght and Sarah Breen.
All are welcome and copies of the book are available at the desk.
Bailieborough Craft Group meet every Friday in the Library. Drop in
from 10am until 1pm. Anyone interested in hand crafts, or is willing to learn,
is invited to this sociable gathering. Refreshments are served in a warm,
welcoming environment.
Bailieborough Hen’s Shed meets at the Library every Thursday at 10am. All ladies are
welcome to this get together, just to meet, make friends and share thoughts!
