Good News: Great news last week, to see that the future of the Bailieborough Swimming Pool and Leisure Centre has been secured. This terrific amenity has meant so much to the local community over the past 20 years or so. Many thanks must be given to all who had an input to the survival plan and lets all hope that the facility will be able to re-open when the Covid-19 restrictions are lifted.
Killann Parish: Masses: No public Masses for the time being due to Covid restrictions. Masses will be said at usual Bailieborough times and may be viewed on our webcam or heard on our radio system at 107.8FM. At Level 5 of the Covid plan, weddings and funerals may take place, but numbers will be restricted. This will be the case for the foreseeable future.
Baptisms: No Baptisms will take place, except in the cases of emergency while we remain in Level 5. When we return to Level 3, Baptisms may take place but only the parents, child and godparents may attend. As people know, the issue is not the gatherings in church, but the gathering that may take place in the home afterwards.
All welcome to join ‘Divine Office’: Evening Prayer on the Killann Parish Facebook page every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday evenings at 7.00pm. Readings for each night will be available for collection in hardcopy form, from St. Anne’s Church, Bailieborough and also online beforehand.

Covid-19 Support Line for Older People: Alone manage a national support line and additional supports for older people who have concerns or are facing difficulties relating to the outbreak of Covid-19. Professional staff are available to answer queries and give advice and reassurance where neccessary. The support line is open seven days a week, 8am to 8pm by calling 0818 222 024.
Bailieborough Red Cross: We continue to be available to assist any
one still staying at home. If you have GP or Hospital appointments or require

Paying Our Respects: If you see a hearse, could you stop, stand for a moment as it passes, perhaps take off your cap, and bow your head?
In these times where funerals are limited to only a very few close family our chance to support people during bereavement is limited. So, we wondered if we could revive an old tradition that would show people that their loss is noticed and shared by us all?
It would mean the world to families in a time of sadness.
Bailieborough Library: The current Level 5 lockdown unfortunately means that the Libraries in Cavan are closed for the next 4 weeks. Thanks to the Borrow Box app, that doesn’t mean that you have to miss out on good audio and E-books.
Here is how it works:
• Access the Borrow Box app via the Online Services tab on the Cavan Libraries Website: http://www.cavanlibrary.ie/Default.aspx?StructureID_str=126
• Scroll down and select Borrow Box (eBooks and eAudio Books) and click on ‘Access Borrow Box’.
• When prompted enter your library card number (the 14 digit number on the back of your card) and your 4 digit pin.
• Use the search function on Borrow Box to make your selection or request a title.
• Your book will appear on the device with which you select it and remain there for three weeks, after which it will automatically return to Borrow Box.
If you have trouble accessing Borrow Box or don’t know your pin, feel free to call your local branch or to contact us via our Facebook pages. Our doors may be closed but we are ready and happy to help you in any way we can.
