East Cavan Swim Club: Great day on Saturday last at the lovely South Lake Leisure Centre in Craigavon at the Banbridge LC meet.

Staring swims from all our swimmers, well done to Anna, Emily May, Lian, Tatiana, Sarah, Roisin and Meabh. 

Congratulations to our medal winners Anna (2silver), Meabh (gold) and Roisin (gold).

And very special well done to our final two qualifiers for the Nationals, Meabh in 100 breast and Roisin in 50 free – amazing girls!

We now have our final line up of qualifiers for the Nationals in July:

Also well done to all our Club swimmers who competed and won medals at the Community Games National Swimming Finals that were held in Kilkenny on Sunday last.

Bailieborough ‘Active Age’ Group: Next social meeting is on Tuesday, June 18th in the Courthouse from 1pm to 3pm. (Please note the change of time). A warm welcome to all. Due to the holiday season, the next meeting of the Active Age Group, following this one, will be on Tuesday, September 3rd from 2pm to 4pm. Please support the Bailieborough Active Age Group in the Tesco Community Fund by placing your blue tokens in their slot at Tesco. Thank you.

Bailieborough Walking Group: 

Wednesday, June 12th: Mullaghmeen Forest: Moderate Walk, Approx 1.5hrs. Leaving Tesco Carpark at 6.30pm. Meeting at Millbrook, Oldcastle at 7.05pm.  Walk commences at Mullaghmeen Forest at 7.15pm. 

Wednesday, June 19th: Townley Hall, Drogheda: Moderate Walk, Approx 1.5 to 2 hours. Leaving Tesco carpark at 6.15pm. Meeting at Townley Hall, Main House, Slane Rd., Drogheda. Walk commencing at 7.15pm. All welcome.

Bailieborough Shamrocks ‘Golf Classic’: Bailieborough Shamrocks Golf Classic takes place on  July 5th  at Virgina Golf Club. Please contact Sean, Seamus, Gavin or Kyle if you are interested in entering a team or sponsoring a tee box.

Jiving Lessons: Come along and learn to Jive on Thursday nights from 8.00pm to 9.30pm at the Clubhouse at St. Anne’s Park. No partner needed.

Bailieboro Celtic A.F.C.: Summer soccer for Girls aged 6 to 9 years old, kicks off on Friday 14th June, from 5.45 to 6.45pm, and will continue weekly throughout the summer months. All girls welcome. Please text 086-8156532 to register your child.

Bailieborough Library:

Craft Group meets every Friday at 10.30am and new members are always welcome.

Line Dancing: Continues in the Courthouse, Lower Main Street, Bailieborough on Tuesday’s, from 8.15pm to 10.00pm. All welcome.

Careers: Thinking of changing career, need advice on careers, educational needs, CV help, interview skills – CMETB (Cavan Monaghan Education and Training Board) will facilitate a FREE drop in service at the Library on the last Wednesday of each month from 2.15pm-4.30pm. .No appointment is necessary.

Used Stamps for the Missions: Please drop any used stamps that you may have into Vincent’s Shop, Main St.

Bailieborough Men’s Shed: Bailieborough ‘Men’s Shed’ is open every Tuesday morning from 10.00am to 1.00pm in the Bexcourt Centre, Shercock Road. New members are always most welcome.

Walk, Jog or Run: Now that the evenings are getting longer again, there will be running and walking for all levels,  beginners and advanced. Fun and free, social gathering in the Chapel car park,  Lake Shore,  Bailieborough at 8pm. All old and new people welcome.  Stretch before and afterwards, every Monday and Wednesday evening.
