Mass Time Changes in Killann Parish: From last weekend the following Mass schedule will be in place in Killann Parish: Saturday Vigil Mass at 6.00pm in Killann (until the time changes in March, when it will revert to 8.30pm).
Saturday Vigil Mass at 7.15pm in Bailieborough (until the time changes in March, when it will revert to 7.00pm).
Sunday, 10.15am in Bailieborough—all year.
Sunday, 11.30am in Shercock.
St. Annes National School Enrolment: St Anne’s N.S.Junior Infants 2025/2026 enrolment is now open. Please contact office@stannesns.ie or 0429665242. School will cease accepting applications on January 31st.
CMET Adult Services: CMET Adult Services are offering free computer classes in Bailieborough in January 2025. Regretted Death: The death has occurred of Gregory McGlynn, Blackhills Lower, Bailieborough.
Gregory McGlynn, Blackhills Lower, Bailieborough, Co Cavan passed away on Monday, 30th December 2024, peacefully at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Gregory was predeceased by his mother Marie.
Deeply regretted by his loving wife Carol, sons Sean, David, Michael and Ciaran, daughter Kethrina, grandchildren, sisters, brothers, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Gregory’s Funeral Mass took place in St. Anne’s Church, Bailieborough on Thursday 2nd January followed by Cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.

New AL-ANON meeting in Bailieborough: A new AL-ANON meeting takes place in the Beckscourt Community Centre (A82D928) on Thursday evenings at 7.30pm. For further details, please contact, 087 1321462. All welcome. Al-Anon is a mutual support programme for people whose lives have been affected by someone else’ drinking. By sharing common experiences and applying the Al-Anon principles, families and friends of alcoholics can bring positive changes to their individual situations, whether or not, the alcoholic admits the existence of a drinking problem or seeks help. This is a spiritual problem, not a religious one!

Celebrating the 2024 Senior Hurling Championship win for the first time. All are very welcome to come and enjoy an evening of celebration in The Baile Hotel on Saturday, 25th January.

We haven’t forgotten our juveniles as they will also have a Presentation Evening on Friday 24th January 2025 also in the Bailie Hotel. This will recognise the achievement of our U14s in securing a three in a row in Cavan while we will also acknowledge our U8 and U10s for all of their hard work in four venues this year, Bailieborough, Killinkere, Mullagh and Shercock as we keep an eye to the future. More info closer to the time.
All playing activity is now finished for 2024 and we thank all our players for all of their efforts this year and we look forward to 2025. Well done lads!
