Bailieborough Tidy Towns: Bailieborough Tidy Towns have set up a Go Fund Me page. Due to Covid we couldn’t have our annual Christmas draw. All donations will go towards the hanging baskets, flowers on the roundabouts and to replace trees and hedging stolen from the Cavan road and also to do some drainage work.The link is

St. Annes: Current Covid-19 Restrictions: Our webcam at St Anne’s is operating poorly at present. The picture is fuzzy but the sound may be ok. Remember that Mass can be heard on the radio at 107.8FM in the Bailieborough area and 92FM in Shercock. Our provider is try to grapple with the technical problem. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
First Communion Mass: Candidates for First Holy Communion are invited to tune into Masses from St. Annes on Saturday evening next, January 30th at 7.00pm. During Mass, St. Brigid’s crosses will be blessedthat the children may collect from the church over the following days and take home.
Candlemas Day: Candles will be blessed at Mass on Tuesday, February 2nd. You are welcome to leave your candles in the church in the coming days to be blessed on Candlemas Day.
Feast of St. Blaise: The blessing will be given on the webcam/radio at Masses next weekend and at Mass on the Feast Day itself Wednesday, February 3rd. It is not possible to give individual blessings at this time.
Public Masses are suspended until at least 31st January. All Masses and Parish Funerals can be viewed on the Parish webcam or can be heard by tuning in the radio to 107.8 F.M.
Due to the new restrictions, only six guests may participate in a wedding. At present only 10 people may attend a Funeral. No baptisms may take place at the present time.

Deepest Sympathy: Deepest Sympathy is extended to brother Eugene, sister Kate-Jane, sister in law Rosie, nephews Jim, Gene, Vincent and Declan, and niece Anna Marie, grandnieces and nephews and extended family, neighbours and friends on the death of Marion O’Reilly Corodoagh, Tunnyduff, Bailieborough, Co. Cavan, who passed away peacefully, at Fairlawns Nursing Home, Bailieborough on Sunday, January 17th 2021. Marion was predeceased by her brothers Pat and Benny.
Marion’s Funeral Mass took place in St Brigid’s Church, Knockbride West (Tunnyduff) on Tuesday, January 19th with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
The Model School Junior Infant Enrolment – September 2021:

St. Vincent DePaul: Due to Level 5 restrictions, the St. Vincent DePaul Shop ‘Vincents’ on Main St, will be closed for the foreseeable future. The Society ask that you hold onto any donations you may have, until the shop re-opens. Please do not leave any donations outside of the shop as they will be subjected to the elements and will have to be disposed of. The Society look forward to taking them in, when the shop re-opens.

Regretted Death: Deepest Sympathy is extended to brothers Charlie (Leitrim, Bailieborough) and Paddy (Artane, Dublin) and sister Marie Ahern (Brandon, Cork) sister-in-law Sheila, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbors and friends on the death of Christine Clarke , Granville Street, McGee House, Dublin and late of Greagharue, Bailieborough, Co. Cavan, who passed away peacefully in the Mater Hospital Dublin on Monday, January 18th 2021. Christine was predeceased by her parents Eddie and Bridget, sister Genevieve Carroll, brothers-in-law Peter and John, sister-in-law Sheila and niece Ethel .
Christine’s Funeral Mass took place in St. Anne’s Church, Bailieborough on Wednesday, January 20th with burial afterwards in St. Annes Cemetery.
