Good Luck and Best Wishes: The best of luck and good wishes are extended to the members of the Bailieborough Drama Group, who will be performing in the All Ireland One Act Drama Finals (confined), with Liz O’Hanlon’s ‘Dying Minutes’. Best of luck in the Finals, which take place this weekend in The Moat Theatre, Naas, County Kildare. The Group will be performing on Sunday afternoon.

Mass Changes Confirmed: Beginning from the weekend of 4/5 January, 2025, the first weekend of the New Year, the following Mass schedule will be in place in Killann Parish: Saturday Vigil Mass at 6.00pm in Killann (until the time changes in March, when it will revert to 8.30pm).
Saturday Vigil Mass at 7.15pm in Bailieborough (until the time changes in March, when it will revert to 7.00pm).
Sunday, 10.15am in Bailieborough—all year.
Sunday, 11.30am in Shercock.
BAILIEBOROUGH COMMUNITY SCHOOL REUNION
Class of 1994 30 Year School Reunion, will take place on Friday, 27th December, at 8.30pm in the Bailie Hotel lounge. A night not to be missed.
Confirmation Enrolment will take place in St. Anne’s Church on this Saturday evening, December 7th at 7.00pm, Mass.
Regretted Death: The death has occurred of John Carolan, Finternagh, Bailieborough.
John Carolan, Finternagh, Bailieborough, Co Cavan passed away on Friday, 22nd November 2024, suddenly at Cavan General Hospital. John was predeceased by his parents Hugh and Kathleen.
Deeply regretted by his loving sister Catherine, nieces Ursula (Vincent) and Sinéad, nephews Conor (Michelle) and Sean (Rachel), grand-nieces Amy, Ellen-Kate and Sophie, grand-nephews Niall, Liam, Colin, Danny, Ollie, Joe and Ben, extended family, neighbours and friends.
John’s Funeral Mass took place on Wednesday, November 27th in St. Anne’s Church, Bailieborough, followed afterwards by cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.

Bailieborough Christmas Lights Committee: A massive ‘Thank You’ to everyone who helped erect the Christmas lights again this year! Christmas spirit and community spirit is alive and well in Bailieborough and we wish you all, a happy and peaceful Christmas!

St Vincent de Paul Annual Appeal 2024
This year’s SVP Giving Sunday will happen on Sunday, 8th December. Collections will be taken up at the Sunday Masses and also at the Vigil Masses that weekend.

Bailieborough Bowls: Indoor bowls have recommenced in the Bailieborough Community Centre on Wednesday’s at 8pm. Tuition is available free of charge and membership is open to all members of the community.
New AL-ANON meeting in Bailieborough: A new AL-ANON meeting takes place in the Beckscourt Community Centre (A82D928) on Thursday evenings at 7.30pm. For further details, please contact, 087 1321462. All welcome. Al-Anon is a mutual support programme for people whose lives have been affected by someone else’ drinking. By sharing common experiences and applying the Al-Anon principles, families and friends of alcoholics can bring positive changes to their individual situations, whether or not, the alcoholic admits the existence of a drinking problem or seeks help. This is a spiritual problem, not a religious one!
