Santa Claus is coming to Town!: On this Saturday, November 30th, a very special person will be coming to town to turn on the Bailieborough Christmas Lights. All are asked to be at the Market Square at 5.00pm and help the ‘Man of the Moment’, with the countdown to turn on the new Christmas Lights. All welcome to come along for this great event.
BAILIEBOROUGH COMMUNITY SCHOOL REUNION
Class of 1994 30 Year School Reunion, will take place on Friday, 27th December, at 8.30pm in the Bailie Hotel lounge. A night not to be missed.
Regretted Death: The death has occurred of Ann Lynch, (née Gargan), Birragh, Kingscourt, Co. Cavan, and formerly of Urcher, Bailieborough, on Thursday, November 21st, 2024, peacefully and surrounded by her loving family at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda.
Pre-deceased by her daughter Caroline, her parents, and her brothers. Ann is deeply missed by her beloved husband James, her sons Darren (Ann) and Ronan, and her daughters Kelly (Fred), Lisa (Anthony) and Sarah (Greg). Sadly missed by her cherished grandchildren Kian, Rachel, Kayla, Mia, Seán, Shane, James, Amy, Luke and Ellie, her sisters Helen, Alice, and Marie, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Ann’s Funeral Mass took place on Sunday, November 24th in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Kingscourt, and afterwards, Ann’s remains were laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery.

St Vincent de Paul Annual Appeal 2024
This year’s SVP Giving Sunday will happen on Sunday, 8th December. Collections will be taken up at the Sunday Masses and also at the Vigil Masses that weekend.

Donations on the night towards, ‘Alison Fisher’s Go Fund Me. Choir practice takes place in St. Annes Church on Monday’s at 7.30pm. Past and new members are very welcome. No experience neccessary.
A Massive ‘Thank You’ to everyone who supported our recent Cake Sale and Raffle. €4,200 was raised for the Parkinsons Cavan Branch and €2,380 was donated (sale of cards) to Parkinsons Ireland, Head Office. Sincere thanks from Sheila Clarke and friends.

Bailieborough Bowls: Indoor bowls have recommenced in the Bailieborough Community Centre on Wednesday’s at 8pm. Tuition is available free of charge and membership is open to all members of the community.
New AL-ANON meeting in Bailieborough: A new AL-ANON meeting takes place in the Beckscourt Community Centre (A82D928) on Thursday evenings at 7.30pm. For further details, please contact, 087 1321462. All welcome. Al-Anon is a mutual support programme for people whose lives have been affected by someone else’ drinking. By sharing common experiences and applying the Al-Anon principles, families and friends of alcoholics can bring positive changes to their individual situations, whether or not, the alcoholic admits the existence of a drinking problem or seeks help. This is a spiritual problem, not a religious one!

Congratulations and Well Done: Congratulations and Well Done to the members of the Bailieborough Drama Group, who have qualified for the All Ireland One Act Drama Finals, with Liz O’Hanlon’s ‘Dying Minutes’. Best of luck in the Finals, which take place in The Moat Theatre, Naas, County Kildare over the weekend of 6–8th of December.

U8/10/12/14/16/18; Training on Monday 7pm on the astro for those 10 and up. Final round of county U15 trials on the 3G at Kingspan Breffni also on Monday from 6.15.
Final week of after school in both Shercock and Mullagh and a well earned break til the new year.
