Christmas Mass Schedule: St. Annes Church, Bailieborough:  Christmas Eve: Mass at 4.00pm and 7.00pm. Christmas Day: Mass at 10.00am.

St. Annes, Killann: Christmas Eve, Mass at 7.00pm and Christmas Day, Mass at 10.00am.

St. Patrick’s Church, Shercock: Mass on Christmas Eve at 9.00pm and Mass at 11.30am on Christmas Day.

The Bridge club meets every Tuesday at 7.30 p.m. in the Bailie Hotel.

Christmas Day Swim: The 29th  Annual Bailieborough Christmas Day Swim is back this year! The swim commences at 12.30pm, sharp on Christmas Day at the Town Lake. All funds raised are in aid of MS Cavan. If you would like to take part in the swim or want to fill out a sponsorship card, please contact Mary on 0860688714 or Brendan on 0872758890.

Regretted Death: Deepest Sympathy is extended to sister Jane, brothers in law Philip Brady and Matt Donnellan, sister’s in law Kathleen and Celia , nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, neighbours and extended family and friends on the death of Margaret Brady, Drumbannon, Bailieborough, who passed away suddenly, on Wednesday, 14th  December 2022. Margaret was predeceased by her husband Sean, sisters Kathleen and Bridget and brother T.P.

Margaret’s Funeral Mass took place in St. Annes Chapel on Saturday, December 17th and afterwards, Margaret’s remains were laid to rest in St. Annes Cemetery.

St. Vincent DePaul: A Massive big ‘Thank You’ to everybody who came along on Friday last, for our customer appreciation day and well done to all our winners.

Thanks to all the staff and volunteers for all the help on the day.

Thanks to everybody that purchased raffle tickets and thanks to all our donators.

All your generosity will go to help alleviate the effects of poverty on families and people through out our community.

Bailieborough Athletic Club: The Bailieborough Athletic Club are holding a ‘Fun Run’ and walk on St. Stephen’s Day. The event is for young and old and commences at the Community Centre, Chapel Road at 12 noon. There are two distances, 5k and 10k and all proceeds raised will go to local Charities. All welcome.

Deepest Sympathy: Deepest Sympathy is extended to heartbroken parents,  Anne Marie and Stephen, brothers Robbie and twin Rían, grandparents Margaret Burns, Eileen and Noel Duffy, uncles, aunts, cousins and all extended family on the passing of Baby Shay Duffy, Skeagh, Bailieborough, Co. Cavan who was born on Sunday, 11th  December and who fell asleep in his mother’s arms, comfortably, on Friday, 16th  December 2022.

 The ‘Mass of the Angels’ for Shay took place in St Anne’s Church, on Sunday, December 18th 2022 and afterwards Shay’s remains were laid to rest in St Anne’s Cemetery.

Bailieborough Walking Group: Bailieborough Walking Group are Hosting a Charity Walk on Saturday, 31st  December at 10.00am. Meeting at the BDA, Shercock Road, Bailieborough. Walking around the Castle Lake. 9/10km approx. All Donations to Aware Mental Health. Refreshments served afterwards. All Welcome.

Cavan /Monaghan Education and Training Board: Adult Guidance and Information, drop-in centre will take place at Bailieborough Library on Thursday, January 12th, 2023 from 10.00am to 1.00pm. Free and confidential guidance from a Professional Guidance Councillor. FREE advice on return to education and careers!  All welcome.

Bailieborough Shamrocks G.F.C.: Now heres something worth celebrating….. After a tremendous year, our Camogie Girls are being presented with their medals on Friday evening next, 23rd  December at 7pm in the Clubhouse. And who better than our own Leanne Kiernan to be the Special Guest on the evening. We look forward to a lovely evening celebrating the success of the Camogie Club and of course welcoming Leanne home once again. All welcome.
