St. Annes: The news that the number of people who may attend a Funeral will increase to 25 from April 26th, is to be welcomed.
The Bishop has granted permission for the resumption of Baptisms, with a limited attendance confined to parents and godparents.
Mass can be heard on the radio at 107.8FM in the Bailieborough area and 92FM in Shercock.
Public Masses are suspended until at least April 26th, when it is hoped that some of the current restrictions may be lifted. All Masses and Parish Funerals can be viewed on the Parish webcam or can be heard by tuning in the radio to 107.8 F.M.
Due to the restrictions, only six guests may participate in a wedding.

Bailieborough Tidy Towns: Shame, Shame and Shame again, six of our lovely Beech hedging have been pulled up again on the Cavan road, going down to the Castle Lake entrance. Why does anybody do this ? Pure badness .
Thanks to Peadar and Larry for replanting them so promptly. We hope they will grow again and help to enhance this area of the Cavan Road.

Deepest Sympathy: Deepest Sympathy is extended to wife Caroline, sons, Paddy, Gerry, Bobby, Stephen, Mark and Martin, daughters, Sabrina, Noeleen and Caroline, brothers Brendan and Tommy, sisters Eilleen, Mary, Dolores, Kathleen, Bernadette and Angela, grandchildren, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends on the death of Gerard (Gerry) Carolan, Carnaville, Moynalty, Kells, Co. Meath/ Bailieborough, Co. Cavan who passed away peacefully at St. Vincent Hospital Dublin, surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, April 6th, 2021.
Gerry’s Funeral Mass took place in the Church of Assumption, Moynalty, on Thursday, April 8th with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Bailieborough Group of Parishes: During lockdown, we thought we would return to ‘Word at Noon’ from Monday-Friday each week. We hope these daily readings and reflections will be of some help in this tough time.
Services: Due to level 5 restrictions we cannot meet in our Church buildings, so our service this week will be on Facebook (or on YouTube under ‘bailieborough group of parishes’) from 10:30am this Sunday— April 18th.
Old Photos: For those of you who would like to see what the town looked like in the early 1980’s, the Bailieborough Midsummer Festival and Town Events Facebook page is the place to visit. Recently uploaded photos from that era, are there for all to see and comment on and maybe bring back memories of what the town used to be like. Also worth a visit is the Bailieborough Heritage Society’s page and the Cavan Old Photo’s.
Bailieborough Library: Unfortunately, due to the Level 5 restrictions, the Library will remain closed for the foreseeable future. The online Library is available, anytime, anywhere! Throughout the coming weeks, you can access free eBooks, eAudiobooks, digital magazines, online courses and international newspapers! Our delivery service to members of our community who are vulnerable/cocooning will continue for the foreseeable future.

East Cavan Gaels: Hurling: All being well we hope to get back hurling from the end of April, it is only two weeks after the return to school after the Easter break. We have loads of hurleys for those looking and for those looking for helmets you can let us know if you need one and we will look to order again, obviously things will happen a bit slower that we are used to.
All players MUST be members to be covered by the GAA insurance scheme so please use the time between now and return to play to get your individual or family membership up to date.
We are all really looking forward to seeing you all, hurling, again.
