St. Annes: Easter Ceremonies: While government restrictions mean that people may not attend the Ceremonies of Easter week in person, they can still be watched or listened to via the Parish Webcam, television and radio. Also the Churches of the Parish remain open for private prayer.
Holy Thursday: Mass of the Lord’s Supper at 7.00pm.
Good Friday: The Passion of the Lord at 3.00pm. A short Stations of the Cross ceremony can be accessed on the Parish Webcam at any time.
Holy Saturday: Easter Vigil at 9.00pm.
Easter Sunday: Mass of the Resurrection at 10.00am. On Easter Sunday, why not light a candle at home and take a flower from your garden and place it at the foot of the cross, as a sign of hope in the resurrection of Christ.
Mass can be heard on the radio at 107.8FM in the Bailieborough area and 92FM in Shercock.
Holy Week on RTE tv and Radio: Holy Thursday—RTE One–(repeated Radio 1 Extra/LW 252 at 7.00pm).
Good Friday—RTE One/Radio 1 Extra-LW 252, 3 to 4pm—Solemn Liturgy for Good Friday from Knock Basilica.
Holy Saturday—RTE One/ Radio 1 Extra-LW 252—11pm to 12.15am—Easter Vigil from Knock Basilica.
Easter Sunday—RTE One—Live Mass from 10.00am to 11.00am.
Public Masses are suspended until at least April 5th, when it is hoped that some of the current restrictions may be lifted. All Masses and Parish Funerals can be viewed on the Parish webcam or can be heard by tuning in the radio to 107.8 F.M.
Due to the restrictions, only six guests may participate in a wedding. At present only 10 people may attend a Funeral. No baptisms may take place at the present time.

Bailieborough Tidy Towns: A big’ THANK YOU’ to all who donated so generously to our ‘Go Fund Me’ page. We really appreciate all your donations. All will help to keep our town colourful and tidy.
Also many thanks to all the litter pickers who are doing tremendous work picking up rubbish from our roads and ditches in their spare time.

Deepest Sympathy: Deepest Sympathy is extended to wife wife Doreen, children, Vanessa, Trevor, Shirley and Richard, brother Leonard, sons in law George and Tommy, daughters in law Denise and Olga, grandchildren Noah, Ethan and Grace, sister in law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends on the death of Albert (Bert) Coote, Main Street and Kells Road, Bailieborough, Co. Cavan, who passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 18th 2021.
Bert’s Funeral Service took place in Trinity Presbyterian Church on Saturday, March 20th and afterwards, his remains were laid to rest in Urcher Graveyard.

Bailieborough Group of Parishes: During lockdown, we thought we would return to ‘Word at Noon’ from Monday-Friday each week. We hope these daily readings and reflections will be of some help in this tough time.

Regretted Death: Deepest Sympathy is extended to daughters Natalie and Maria, their mother Siobhan, mother Patricia, brothers Hugh, Bernard, Paul, Michael, sisters Teresa and Marian, granddaughter Mya, brother in law, sister in law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends on the death of Andrew Cullivan, Glasgow and formerly, Lisnalea, Bailieborough, Co Cavan who passed away, suddenly on Wednesday, March 10th, 2021. Andrew was predeceased by his father Hugh and brother Stephen.
Andrew’s Funeral Mass took place in St. Annes Church on Tuesday, March 23rd and afterwards, his remains were laid to rest in St. Annes Cemetery.

Cavan, who passed away peacefully in the care of the wonderful staff at Carechoice Nursing Home, Trim following a long illness, on Monday, March 22nd, 2021. Beloved granny of Jamie, Thomas, Sarah, Charlie, Billy, Rose, John and Brian, Nan will be greatly missed by her loving family, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
