Charity Walk/Run in Memory of Ann Clerkin, Curkish: A Charity Walk/Run in memory of Ann Clerkin, Curkish will take place on Saturday next, May 25th commencing at 11am from the B.D.A. Offices, Shercock Rd, Bailieborough. Funds raised will be donated to the Bailieborough Cancer Comfort Fund, Ataxia Foundation, Ireland and the Parkinsons Association of Ireland. Donations voluntary on the day and all are most welcome to attend.
Mass of Celebration in thanksgiving for the Ministry of Fr. Michael Router: A Special Mass will be held in St. Annes Church, Bailieborough on Friday evening, June 21st at 7.00pm, to congratulate Fr. Michael on his appointment as Auxiliary Bishop of Armagh and to celebrate his outstanding, selfless ministry in service of our Parish. Light refreshments will follow in St. Annes Community Centre, Chapel Road. All parishioners, from each of the Church areas in the Parish are most welcome to attend.
May—Month of the Rosary: The Rosary will be said at the Grotto on the Virginia Road at 7.30pm every evening for the month of May (except Saturday’ s). Everyone is welcome to come and pray for various intentions.
Irish Dancing Classes: Irish Dancing Classes will be held every Thursday evening in St. Anne’s Community Centre, Chapel road from 6.00pm. All levels from Beginners to Advanced. Ages from 4+ welcome. For further information, please contact Tracey at 085 771 2282.
First Communion: The children in 2nd Class in St. Anne’s National School will receive their First Holy Communion next Saturday morning in St. Annes Church at 11.00am.

Bailieborough School of Music Registration/Open Evening will be held in the Community School on Thursday May 30th from 7pm-8.30pm. This is an opportunity for students to try out the various woodwind/brass instruments. New students welcome.

Deepest Sympathy: Deepest Sympathy is extended to sister Margaret Timothy (Galway), brother Seamus (Baltinglass, Co. Wicklow), sister-in-law Maire Kelly, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, his former parishioners, relatives and large circle of friends on the death of Fr. Felim Kelly, retired P.P Castlerahan, late of The Vale, Bailieborough, who passed away peacefully in Cavan General Hospital, on Wednesday 1st May. Fr. Felim was predeceased by his parents Annie (nee Lynch) and Pat Kelly and brother-in-law Pat Timothy. Deeply regretted by retired Bishop Leo O’Reilly and the Clergy of the Diocese of Kilmore. Fr. Felim’s Funeral Mass took place in St. Mary’s Church, Castlerahan, on Saturday, May 4th followed by burial in St. Anne’s Cemetery, Bailieborough.
Bailieborough Community School Graduation: Well done to the Leaving Cert students in Bailieborough Community School who graduated on Wednesday last during a beautiful service and ceremony in the school assembly area. We wish them the best of luck in their upcoming exams and their future lives.

appeals to all business, property and home owners in the Town area to give
their property a makeover. Washing walls, footpath’s and painting would be
appreciated. Judging begins in early June.

Bailieborough Social Day Group: The next get-together of the Bailieborough Social Day Group will take place in the Community Centre on Wednesday, May 22nd from 2.30 to 4.30pm. Booking deposits taken on the day for trip ‘Tour of the Titanic’ on June 11th. Further details later. New people always welcome.
Bailieborough Walking Group: Wednesday, May 22nd—Mullaghmeen, Oldcastle: (A) Walk 2 hours (approx). Leaving Bailieborough Library at 6.30pm. Meet at Millbrook, Oldcastle at 7.05pm. Walk commences at Mullaghmeen Forest at 7.15pm.

{M} Walk 1 hour 30 minutes approx. Leaving Bailieborough Library at 6.40 pm. From Cootehill take Monaghan Road. After 3km Turn left for Newbliss R189. Continue on this road and park at The Black Kesh Bar (Disused) on the right-hand side. Walk commencing at 7.15pm. All welcome.

Deepest Sympathy: Deepest Sympathy is extended to sons and daughters Maureen, Una, Patrick, Stephen, Noeleen, Charlie, Rita, Helen, Betty, Mary Lou, Paul and Gary, sister Sr. Rita Shalvey, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family, neighbours and friends on the death of Agnes Clarke (nee Shalvey) Granafarna, Bailieborough, Co. Cavan, who passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, May 3rd. Agnes was predeceased by her husband Tommy, son Philip and grandson Tommy Michael. Agnes’s Funeral Mass took place in St. Mary’s Church, Clanaphilip on Monday, May 6th with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
Mass for the Sick: A Mass for the Sick will take place in St. Annes Church, Bailieborough on Friday, May 31st. This date coincides with the start of the Kilmore Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes. The Mass will include the Sacrament of the Sick for those who feel in need of its healing graces at this time.

Diocesan and Parish Pilgrimage to Knock: This year’s Parish Pilgrimage will be to Knock and will take place on Sunday, June 16th—the same day as the Kilmore Diocesan Pilgrimage. Anyone interested in travelling on a Bus from Bailieborough is asked to give their name to the Secretary in the Parish Office during opening hours (042 9665117).
Bridge: Bridge lessons for beginners takes place in the Hotel Bailie, Bailieborough, at 7.30pm, each Monday night.
Senior’s Bridge takes place every Tuesday evening at 7.30pm, in the Hotel Bailie. Everybody welcome.
CMETB Adult Education Guidance and Information Service (Aegis): Are you an adult thinking about returning to education or training? Bailieborough Shamrocks Senior Ladies are running a Fundraising Karaoke Night on Friday, 31st May in Nixy’s The Square Bar. Anyone who is interested in putting an act in, please contact Conor Gilsenan or any of our Senior Ladies Football Team. This promises to be a great night’s fun and entertainment.
